Community millers charge a service fee to mill maize for community members into maize meal, which is why it is known as community, service or Posho milling. The Posho Mill is the easiest way to produce quality maize meal with its durable, compact design, simplified roller milling technology and hard work ethic.
Low energy, high output
Requiring only 9.5kW of power, the Posho has an extraction capability of 82 to 85%. This translates to 750kg per hour of which 612 - 637kg is maize meal per hour; the rest is bran.
The ideal compact maize mill for community milling
The Posho is compact enough to be installed almost anywhere. Thanks to its small footprint of only 2m x 1m, it can be set up in a small building such as a single garage.
